Portrait Photography – Rachael Wood

I met Rachael through ModelMayhem.com where we scheduled a session in downtown Nashville. It ended up being a rainy December day, but that didn’t stop us.

After spending some time around 1st Ave., we headed a little further into the city. Rachael had seen a big wall of graffiti around the 5th Ave. area, so we scavenged around until we found it.

In this same little cove, there was a door in a brick wall surrounded by a chain link fence.  This turned out to serve a pretty cool urban backdrop.

I toted my Canon 430ex around the city on a light stand with a white umbrella attached to it.  This is a great portable setup; lightweight and collapsible, but giving us plenty of useable light.
